The bold and glamorous spirit of the 70s invades João Sousa Brand's new capsule collection with the fashion editorial "A Night at Studio 54". Inspired by the legendary New York club Studio 54, the collection rescues the essence of the most iconic looks of the time, where exuberance and sparkle reigned supreme on party nights.
The collection celebrates the freedom of expression and extravagance that defined Studio 54 as one of the greatest symbols of hedonism and glamour. With an aesthetic rich in lace, sparkles and metallic details, the pieces were designed for those who want to stand out – whether on the dance floor or off it. Each look reflects the sensuality and confidence of the Studio 54 legends, creating a fusion between the sophisticated and the sexy.
To create this collection, João Sousa used materials from previous collections and scraps from special orders, thus, in addition to a nod to sustainability, once again taking on exclusive looks or limited to his dreamers.
The collection is made up of pieces that are perfect for both lively nights out and casual outings, reflecting the versatility of the "dance looks" and "outside looks". Inspired by the bold looks of iconic figures from the studio, the "dance looks" feature sparkles and provocative cuts, ideal for those who want to dance and shine without limits. The "outside looks" add a touch of sophistication with styles that stand out for their subtle sensuality, without losing their relaxed and elegant air.
Designed to highlight the strong personality of the wearer, the "sexy looks" are dominated by fine lace and strategic details, celebrating the silhouette and attitude. The idea is to capture the most authentic and confident side of disco fashion, giving each look a contemporary and refined touch.
To bring all the energy of "A Night at Studio 54" to life, the editorial photos were carefully produced to reflect the glamour and intensity of the era. With dramatic lighting, striking angles and textures that evoke the glow of party nights, the images are an ode to the style and attitude that Studio 54 immortalized.
