Camila Vitorino is more than a beauty queen: she is a story of courage, rebirth, and inspiration. Born in Setúbal, she entered the world of fashion as a teenager, at just 15, and quickly became a familiar face on runways and in beauty pageants. She earned several titles, including Miss Planet, and won Miss Queen Portugal in 2019. After years dedicated to the world of pageantry, she chose to step away. She fell in love, got married, became a mother — and within that chapter discovered a new version of herself. In 2025, she returned to the stage with maturity, purpose, and authenticity, becoming the first married woman and mother to represent Portugal at Miss Universe. A victory that goes beyond crowns: it represents change, inclusion, and freedom of choice.

During her participation in Miss Universe 2025, held in Thailand, Camila wore João Sousa Brand pieces that accompanied her through significant moments of this remarkable journey. On the very first day of the competition, she appeared in a full lilac set — elegant, fresh, and modern — marking the beginning of her presence with lightness and strength. Later, she wore an open-back blazer-dress from the Sociedade collection, a piece that embodies contemporary sophistication and power, shaping an imposing silhouette without losing femininity. During a formal occasion, she wore a white exclusive dress crafted just for her: delicate straps, a rounded neckline at the front, and a completely open back. The piece celebrated purity, quiet power, and the striking presence of a woman who knows exactly who she is. For rehearsals, she once again chose the brand, wearing a marble-effect set — bold and artistic — reflecting dynamism and originality, a visual identity that speaks to her strong yet gentle personality.
The relationship between Camila and João Sousa Brand goes beyond fashion. It is a conscious choice. Rooted in authorial design, local production, and slow-fashion values, the brand finds in Camila a genuine representation of the contemporary Portuguese woman: determined, emotional, practical, resilient, and full of identity. By taking pieces from the brand to one of the most visible stages in the world, Camila did more than wear national design — she carried with her the message that Portuguese fashion has its own voice, character, and a narrative worth sharing.
Her journey to the competition was both rigorous and deeply human. She trained daily, worked on public speaking, and cared for both body and mind, while never abandoning what defines her most: her commitment to others. Since 2019, Camila has been a volunteer at the Homeless Support Center in Setúbal, proving that her mission is not powered by spotlights, but by empathy and real impact. Motherhood, instead of being an obstacle, became a source of strength — a reminder that dreams grow when we learn to care.
With Camila Vitorino, João Sousa Brand dresses more than fabric: it dresses story, identity, and purpose. This encounter between fashion and message shows that elegance is not only what is seen — it is also what inspires. And when Portugal is represented on the world stage with truth, talent, and authenticity, an entire nation walks forward — and fashion walks with it.
Thank you, Camila, for choosing us to be part of this adventure in your life! We are truly proud to have a representative like you in this competition. Keep being the brilliantly incredible woman you are.
